Roblox is a massively popular game, with tens of millions of active users all having fun in a vast array of virtual worlds. However, you won’t have much fun on Roblox if your game keeps automatically shutting down. The Roblox auto closing problem is one that many Windows 11 users have had to contend with, and it has various root causes.
Fix 1. Clear the Roblox Cache
One of the root causes behind the Roblox auto closing issue is if there is some sort of corruption in the game files. That might be causing your game to randomly freeze up or crash without warning, but clearing out the cache should remove the corruption.
Step 1. Press the “Windows” and “R” keys together to launch the “Run” command.

Step 2. Type in this command and press the “Enter” key: %temp%

Step 3. You’ll be redirected to a folder of temporary cache files for various apps on your system. Look for any folders with “Roblox” in the name and delete them. You could also just delete all folders in the cache, if preferred, by selecting them all and hitting the “Del” key.

Fix 2. Adjust Your Graphics Settings
Roblox is not the most detailed or realistic game and doesn’t have the same sort of graphics as AAA titles. However, that doesn’t mean that it can’t put strain on your system, especially if you don’t have a very high-end PC or laptop. Your game might be repeatedly crashing because the graphics settings are too high and your device can’t handle it.
Step 1. Open Roblox and go into a game or virtual world. Then click on the “Roblox Menu” icon in the top-left.

Step 2. Click the “Settings” tab and scroll down to find the options for “Graphics Mode” and “Graphics Quality.” Make sure the “Graphics Mode” is set to “Manual” and then lower the “Graphics Quality” a couple of notches to see if it fixes your problem.

Fix 3. Close Down Unnecessary Apps
Another possible cause behind Roblox auto closing is that your device is using up too much RAM or memory because you have too many apps running at the same time.
Step 1. Press “Ctrl,” “Shift,” and “Esc” keys to bring up the Task Manager.

Step 2. Click on the “Memory” tab to sort the processes according to which ones are using the most RAM. Then, close down any of the apps from around the top of the list that you don’t need. You can simply right-click on one and click “End Task” to close it down.

Fix 4. Update Your Graphics Drivers
Roblox auto crashing can also be caused by outdated graphics cards. It’s important to install the most recent, up-to-date drivers for your card before loading into any game, including Roblox.
Step 1. Type “Device Manager” into the search bar and select the top option.

Step 2. Click the drop-down arrow next to “Display adaptors” and find your graphics card in the list. It will usually have “Graphics” in its name.

Step 3. Right-click on the graphics card and select “Update driver.” You can then let Windows search for the latest drivers itself, or go to the official website of your graphics card manufacturer, find the latest drivers there, download them, and then install them manually.

Fix 5. Reinstall the Game
If all else fails to fix the issue, you may have to try a clean reinstall of Roblox.
Step 1. Open Settings by pressing “Windows” and “I” together.

Step 2. Go to “Apps,” then “Installed Apps,” and find Roblox in the list. You can just type “Roblox” into the search bar to find it faster.

Step 3. Click the three dots next to “Roblox Player for (Your Name)” and select “Uninstall.”

Step 4. Go through the uninstall process. Then go to the Roblox download page and download the game files for reinstallation.
